Time Is Tight

No official word yet, but Wordpress 2.5 appears to be on the verge of full release. The version number has dropped the “release candidate” qualification.

Since the release of 1.5, WordPress has included an “update-links” program that you can call periodically to check the latest updated time of the links in your link roll. This program queries Pingomatic, which returns a list links and update times.

I just downloaded the WordPress-2005-02-15 nightly and noticed that the version number no longer includes “Gamma”. I guess that means I’m legit for the first time in months.

If you’re running Spam Karma on TextDrive, you should either disable the Captcha test or patch the plug-in as described in this thread. Spam Karma relies on a call to phpinfo() to determine if GD-Library-Support is enabled, but TextDrive disables phpinfo() for security reasons.
