Hello everyone. Just a quick update.
Mike’s new bone marrow has grafted and his blood counts have come up nicely. He is moving forward everyday. He feels generally weak and has some days when he can’t get out of bed and other days when he can walk down the hall to have a shower. The little things mean so much.
He has had no setbacks in terms of complications outside of the regular difficulties associated with a bone-marrow transplant. I predict that if everything progresses as it has been, he could possibly be home next weekend. Hard to say, and even at that it won’t be business as usual. He will have daily trips to the hospital at first and then taper off as he gets stronger.
It is all unbelievable and quite an ordeal but all in all it has gone exceptionally well. We are so thankful.
