Well, the worst is behind Mike now. He had a pretty rough eight days but is feeling much better now. He can sit up and talk which is an improvement. He has the first stages of engraphment which is excellent. We are told there can still be up and down times, but he has had two good days in a row so we are happy.
It has been exactly two weeks since transplant on Wed. We are very encouraged that engraphment seems to be happening so quickly. His counts still need to come up before he can have visitors, but I’ll let you know when that is: maybe in another week. He will be in hospital another two or three weeks.
I know he will really appreciate company when he is able. That hospital room is very confining and boring when he is feeling not too badly.
Anyhow, things are definitely looking up. We see light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks for all the good wishes. Will keep you all posted.
