Everything Going Well
Hello everyone.
Not too much new to report so this will be a short message. Everything continues to go well. Mike is feeling really good right now as his blood counts are on the rise, as they should be, and he has a whole week off before reporting back for duty at the hospital. He begins his third round of chemo on Thursday, July 11th. He will get it on an out-patient basis again for six days and then begin every second day visits after that.
The registry is working on one more possible match right now and if that matches he will get a transplant with this round of chemo. If this sample doesn’t match, he will just get the chemo and have a transplant when they find a match. They will keep looking so we continue to keep our fingers crossed. His doctors are very adamant that they want him to have a transplant which increases the chances for a complete recovery considerably.
I have this week off too so Mike and I will be able to take advantage of his short respite from treatment by doing some fun things. Anyone who wants to visit is welcome to arrange a time for that too.
Keep in touch.
