Time Is Tight

Balloons

Julie Eastman

Thank you so much for the bouquet of balloons. They arrived by courier and were a welcome addition to the house. Something about balloons really add cheer.

Mike is enjoying being at home. He is pretty much bald now. I took great relish at shaving off any remaining hair he had. We had a good joke about joining the army. He feels pretty good with a few minor discomforts such as a rash and a sensitive throat. He is eating as much as he can and we have been very appreciative of the food people have sent. It is very helpful not to have to think about meal planning and shopping. So thank you to those people who have used their culinary skills.

Mike is trying to do a little physical activity at home as he is trying to gain more strength for when he goes back into the hospital for the bone marrow transplant. From what I’ve read, this will be a more difficult time so we are readying ourselves for that.

Everyone’s good thoughts and messages are very welcome and appreciated. As Mike feels up to it he will try to answer some of the emails himself. If you want to venture to the burbs, visitors for short periods of time are welcome too. Usually later morning, later afternoon and evenings are better times.

So far so good, as the saying goes.

Will be in touch.
