No Flowers
Mike cannot have flowers or plants of any kind in the house because they carry fungus and air borne things that are not good for him. So thank everyone for the kind thoughts but we can’t have any thing like that.
You may want to pass on to Rod that right now it looks like this whole treatment thing could take longer than six months. We’ve been meeting other people now with Leukemia and they all say it can take up to a year before you go back to work. However, this depends on many things, like type of work, response to treatment, etc. Mike may be able to work part time before then, but it is all unknown right now.
He is doing okay. He is not in any discomfort other than lots of anxiety and coming to grips with what is happening to him. He walks around the house, eats dinner at the table and other such normal things. Going to the hospital for his treatments makes for a long day. So far he has been twice and it takes about four hours to be there. For the remainder of the week we only have to go down every second day which will be a nice break. Will continue to keep you posted as we know more.
