Mike May Be Coming Home

Julie Eastman

Mike may be coming home tomorrow for three to four weeks. This is very good news as it means he has responded positively so far. He still has a long way to go with treatment but atleast he will be more comfortable at home for the next while. He will have to go daily to the hospital for blood work and such. We are hoping to take advantage of a volunteer driving service they have available for these kinds of occasions.

Many things are still up in the air, but we’ll know tomorrow when exactly he’ll come home. At that point we will be waiting to hear about bone marrow matches which takes about three weeks. If they find one he has to go for another round of chemo and then receive the bone marrow transplant. That’s all we know right now and it can change as more information comes to light. I’ll update you tomorrow when I know more, or maybe Mike will be able to do it himself.
